The ocean has always been my ultimate muse, fostering joy, growth, strength, health, pain, fear, friendships and relationships. It is only logical that my art honour all of my nostalgia tied to the sea in all it’s glory- Maryanne.
Always a swimmer and art lover, I didn’t discover surfing until a move to the coast in my late teens.
A decade later, a close encounter with a great white shark paused both my time in the ocean and my creative flow.
Years passed.
Now, I'm back — surfing, painting, and more in love than ever with the sea. Grateful for it all, exactly as it unfolds.
“I must be a mermaid… I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.”
— Anaïs Nin
